Services at Elm Veterinary Group

Pet Health Counsellors
We have a pet health counselling service. A pet health counsellor's role includes giving advice, free of charge, on a variety of subjects. These may include behavioural problems, feeding, flea control, neutering or any subject that you do not consider worth troubling the vet with. Our pet health counsellor may be contacted at our Milehouse Surgery if you would like to talk to them or if you are interested in one of our puppy parties, weight clinics, or would like advice on bringing up a kitten or puppy. Please ask to speak to Vic or Fran. We are hoping to set up other types of clinics soon we will keep you posted!

Also, another of our qualified nurses, Kirsty, has started running rabbit clinics. She has a particular interest in smaller patients and these clinics will offer lots of useful information and lovely Free samples!

All our clinics are complimentary and are a great way of promoting our relationships with our clients.

Pet foods
In addition to prescription diets about which the vet will advise you we also stock a range of normal dried food for your pet. Sample packets are available free of charge.

Identichip Clinics
Identichips are becoming more and more popular as a permanent way of identifying your pet. A small micro chip is implanted under the skin, and when the animal is scanned a personal number will flash up on a monitor. This number will enable your pets finder to locate you the owner, as this number will link you to your pet.

The micro-chip will stay under the skin for the rest of your pets life, so it is important to change your details with the Pet Log Centre if you move.

Elm Veterinary Group are now running identichip clinics. These are run by one of our qualified nurses, who will implant the micro-chip in your pet's scruff. The clinics are run between 2pm and 3pm weekdays at our Milehouse Clinic where you will receive a special 20% discount off our usual price. ( please note that the special 20% discount is not applicable if a microchip is fitted during an appointment with a vet ) A bargain price for a lifetime of reassurance!

If you are interested in having your pet identichipped, then please phone the Surgery on 01752 567567 for an appointment to be made with a nurse.
